Photo update
I’ve got two quick things to say, both of which have to do with photos.
The first is that if you want a fun photo by your name when you comment, you can make that happen with Gravatar. The photo you choose will show up wherever you have to enter your email address to comment. Maybe you all already know that, but I didn’t for an embarrassingly long time, so now I want to share my knowledge with the world.
The second, far more exciting, is that once again Rodolfo and I have gotten in front of Kyle Hepp’s camera, this time in one of our favorite places on earth: San Francisco. I’ll share more photos and the story behind the shoot once I am able to narrow down my favorites to fewer than about 80. Because I care about you and realize that no one wants to see 80 pictures of my husband and me, no matter how nice the backdrop.
Once I can figure out how to edit photos on my new computer – and by edit I mean resize for blogging purposes, not Photoshop in any remotely advanced way, shape or form – I’ll be back with more pictures of us in a nice setting: Oahu. Stay tuned.

She takes AMAZING pictures. Can’t wait for her to someday take mine. I’ve followed her blog for a little while and that’s how I found yours. LOVE IT! Love your stories..I feel I understand…Colombian..married to a GRINGO..
Well I’m glad you found my blog! And it’s true, Kyle – and Seba – take some awesome pictures.
Ummm I want to see all 80, just saying!
Oh don’t worry, Facebook friends will have that “privilege” – although I’m not sure if everyone will be as excited about it as you are
Haha, I like how we got grouped in there with you figuring out how to make an avatar
I am very happy that you guys liked them! It’s fun shooting our best friends
I’m sorry! I realize that you are slightly above avatars in terms of quality, but don’t worry, you will get your own post soon.
I feel like some of the photos are particularly great because you do know us, so you know to include typical me faces or typical Rodolfo faces that we appreciate as silly little moments.
Amasing isn’t it, at one point you couldn’t move on the TV without landing on something filmed in SF, where the city was a very major character. Now the place is as anonymous as Kansas city. Just a few weeks ago on the BBC University Challenge quiz-show was a shot of Alcatraz Is, none of them got it.
I’d be delighted to see what she (Kyle) decided were iconic shots of that city. For instance is there one of you swinging off a trolleycar.
In a funny way it’s the only Yankee city that you’d say is wine drinking as a rule. And not because of the valleys. You could plant vines all over Ill and Chicago would still be beer.
There is no cable car shot, I’m sorry to say. I picked the two locations (Union Square and Crissy Field), and although there are cable cars that go right by Union Square, I didn’t feel like either getting run over by traffic or annoying all the commuters by trying to pose on one.
If you head over to Kyle’s blog she’s got some pictures of us with the Golden Gate that I think are pretty iconic SF as well as her own photos of different areas in the city.
Ah girl, them’s not engagement photos over at Kyle’s place. They are what they are, a record of a first anniversary. You two fit each others curves to softly for engagement photos. Put simply, you know where each others elbows are, instinctively.
It’s true – and I like how you put it!
What a cute photo of you two.
And now that I have been in Chile more than 3 days, you are right, he is an exception to the rule.
Thanks! And yes, you see what I mean about the average chileno being short and long-haired.
You guys look amazing, as always!!
Thank you, my love.
Oooh, I’ve just seen a bunch of those photos on Kyle’s website. I was so excited to see them. You two look absolutely stunning. I particularly love that photo of the tan lines where your wedding rings should be. <3
That one was my idea! I thought it would be a little different, and since we’d just been in Hawaii our tan lines were really noticeable. Glad you like them.
Emily, you are gorgeous! You and hubby look like models. WOW.
Well thank you very much!
I can’t wait to see the photos!!
I am in love with them – Kyle and Seba did such a great job, and having problems narrowing them down is definitely a good problem to have.
