Saturday in Santiago: the view

Because sometimes all you need is a glimpse of pristine, snowy mountains from a friend’s balcony – on a day that got up to single-layer heat, no less! – to erase the gloom of 5 days of grey and drizzle.

  1. I love your series Saturday in Santiago. Really, really nice.

It is always nice to see the sun after a week of grey skies. Just a few more weeks and Spring will arrive in Chile and we will enter the beautiful Fall season.

Oh yes, I am VERY excited for spring. I’m starting to get sick of my sweaters and miss all my summer clothes – time for the seasons to change!

  3. Charu says:

This is a lovely series, Emily. I’m hoping to make my way to Chile soon…

  4. Andrea says:

Looks enticing! Do you ski there?

    • Emily in Chile says:

I don’t – every year I think we should go up for a day, and then I start adding up lift tickets, ski rentals, the van up there (because I’m not about to drive our car up the switchbacks on potentially icy roads), and it would be almost $200 for the two of us for a day. I like skiing, but I don’t like it $200-worth, so we never end up going.
